The circles form the living heart of the UNUM network, allowing the spiritual path to be embodied in real communities in different parts of the world.

 

A space of encounter and unity

A UNUM Space of Presence is not a class or a place of doctrinal teaching.

It is a gathering where people can:

quiet the mind and open the heart

reflect on spiritual texts

share inner experiences

accompany one another on the spiritual path

 

The simplicity of the gathering allows presence and shared awareness to become the center of the experience.

 

In a UNUM Space of Presence, no one holds a place above others. All participate as companions on the path who learn, listen, and grow together.

How the Spaces of Presence work

Spaces of Presence usually meet regularly, either in person or online.

A typical gathering may include:

a moment of contemplative silence

the reading of a spiritual text

a space for resonance and conscious dialogue

a brief prayer or closing silence

 

The usual duration of these gatherings is 60 to 90 minutes.

 

The guardian of the tone

Each Space of Presence includes a person who serves as the guardian of the tone.

 

The guardian of the tone is not a teacher or a spiritual authority. Their function is simply to care for the space of the gathering and to uphold the quality of presence, respect, and openness that allows the circle to remain in a spirit of love and unity.

 

The guardian helps sustain the atmosphere of the gathering, accompanying the flow of dialogue with simplicity and ensuring that all voices can be heard.

 

Within UNUM, leadership is always understood as a form of service. The guardian of the tone does not guide others from a higher place, but cares for the space so that the gathering may unfold in harmony.

 

A network that grows organically

UNUM Spaces of Presence can arise in different parts of the world when a group of people feels the call to gather and cultivate presence and spiritual life.

 

Each Space of Presence maintains freedom in the concrete way it organizes its gatherings, always respecting the spirit and fundamental principles of the network.

Creating a UNUM Space of Presence

A complex structure is not needed.

Only a small group of people willing to gather with a sincere intention to cultivate presence, awareness, and inner life.

The guardian of the tone cares for the Space of Presence from an attitude of service. Their role is not to direct others, but to help the gathering remain faithful to the spirit of presence, respect, and love that inspires UNUM.

The Space of Presence exists to cultivate presence, contemplation, and inner life, not to impose ideas or develop intellectual discussions.

The one who guards the tone also walks the spiritual path alongside others. They do not occupy a special place within the Space of Presence.
